Default gum infection under fixed bridge

I have had such a bad year with my teeth. My latest problem is I had a root canal through my fixed bridge. It became loose and I finally got the courage to have it removed. My gums were irratated under it and after the root canal even more. I called the dentist to make an appointment for the removal and she said she can't work on me until the infection is cured. The infection would not clear up with the antibiotics and my gums are even more sore and I am not sure if the root canal tooth needs to be extracted because I am getting a bitter taste from it. The only way to cure all this is to have the bridge removed. Any ideas about how to solve this catch 22?
