Got silver instead of white fillings

I specifically asked for white as the idea of metal in my mouth makes me sick. got them down under sedation. had to get a few coz it had been a while. All the back ones are silver. I'm not leaving them there, no way. i feel ill thinking about it, knowing they are there.

How much would it cost to remove them? How long? Painful? Harmful?

Is it true they drill more to make holes for silver fillings?
