Well as it turned out, I'm one of those who had IV sedation and was aware of, and remember, everything. As awful as that may sound..it wasn't. I felt no pain and really didn't even feel any tugging or anything. I could hear the surgeon and nurse talking to me and follow instructions. There was music playing and I recall liking that as it was relaxing. Didn't have much sensation of time. The whole thing took approx. 2 and half hours..but it felt more like 30 minutes to me.
They took me to the car in a wheel chair and I think I napped most of the way home. That was Wednesday..and I've been napping off and on since. The whole experience totally exhausted me!
