Default Gold fused to Porcelain or Lava Crown for Molar?

I am getting a crown replaced and I wanted to go with a metal free lava Crown because I really don't want metals in my mouth.
My dentist prefers I use a PFG Crown which has 88% Gold, most of the rest is platinum, neither of which I am allergic to (I am allergic to nickel though, which is in my current crown).
I am torn because the Lava is completely non conductive (zirconium) and I've heard that metals, even Gold, can block the tooth meridians.
      Any opinions? Thanks

It is the next to last molar (the big one)
