Good morning,

I recenty had a rooth canal and Gold crown on one of my molars and now the dentist says she has to keep an eye on it because the X ray revealed that my body is actually rejeting it.

She says she has only seen this twice in 10 years. She says the other patient was refered to a specialist and specialist said 90 % of time, the body will end up accepting it but if it doesnt, we have to pull it out.

Any reason why this would be happening?

Thanks

I'd be looking for a second opinion.

Get an endodontist to do an evaluation - a retreat might be in order, rather than just wait and see. Molar root canals are technically very difficult for General dentists to get right.

Thanks for the answers.

However, I should have been a little clearer on my post.

My rooth canal was done by an endodontist about 2 years ago and was fine. The problem started when my dentist put a post and crown on it about 3 weeks ago. With the ongoing X ray's during the procedure, she saw something showing that my body was rejecting either the crown or post?
The tooth as actually started throbbing a little during the day and at night.

I just wish I did not have to pull the tooth after having spent so much money on it.

Thanks again.
