Want to join the military, can I fail the medical because of cosmetic teeth?
All four of my front teeth on both the jaws are capped. It was probably a bad decision in retrospect, but I had my insecurities and the dentist suggested to get crowns instead of braces as it will take lesser time. Joining the military has always been a dream for me. Now I'm worried that I'll fail the medical if I get selected because of my teeth. One of the documents I read says that I need at least 14 dental points, any 4 of the 6 anterior and any 6 of the 10 posterior teeth. It also says that artificial dentures are not counted as normal teeth. Are dentures and crowns treated in the same manner during medical tests? I have 21 natural teeth right now. I'm terribly worried
P.S I'm from India.
