I'VE Sedation

Hello all, I'm new on hear and posting because I feel sick with fear.
im having sedation on Thursday to remove 4 teeth, I am scared that something will go wrong when I'm under sedation.
i smoke and have heard that sedation suppresse your breathing, is this true? Has anyone on hear had sedation who smokes? Want to give up but think its to late.

I don't know what kind of sedation you are about to have but most likely you will recieve pure oxygen through your nose, and the oxygen's level in your blood will be constantly monitored.

Even though sedation is considered very safe also for smokers, you should inform the oral surgeon on how much and for how long you have been smoking.
