Dear users,
I would really appreciate some advice and help, as I have been going through a lot of pain and stress lately, with one infection causing me to end up in hospital for 2 weeks.
I have two problems.
1. I had a chronic infection on an already RCT, this was extracted 4 1/2 months ago. The socket has healed and the x ray shows no sign of infection. However, I am having a sense of pressure in that area and slight heat sensitivity that just won't budge.
Two dentists have looked at my adjacent teeth and cant see anything wrong. X-ray is also fine. I've been told to sit this out a couple more months as it could be the bone remodelling or gum sensitivity? If not they will refer me to a specialist (currently going private now)
2. I had another RCT fail, tooth extracted. This resulted in super sensitivity to heat and the adjacent tooth hurting when flicked or biting down. Adjacent tooth is now pain free but socket is still sensitive to heat? If I feel the socket it hurts slighty and has rough edges around it that feel like bone..also I had a mild case of dry socket here.
Anyone have any ideas as I am going crazy? I've had these teeth removed in one go as to preserve bone for dental implants.
Many thanks,
George
