Hello, I wonder if anyone can help by advising a good dentist/practice in London for the All on Four procedure. My teeth are a mess, I have advanced stage gum disease, and most of my teeth are all long and loose. I hear commercials for Smile in a Day etc on the radio, but have no clue who to trust for such an important and expensive undertaking. Also, anyone have advice on whether I should be looking for All on Four, or All on Six? I'm so petrified that I don't know where to turn, but I know I have to do something soon!

Hello to you. I am in the USA so I can't help recommend someone in the UK for you, however I am about to undergo the very procedure you have described tomorrow. I am not going to have it done through one of the "smile in a day clinics", but rather a private Prosthodontist.

Initially I had your same problem, and then it got to the point of tooth loss. I didn't have money at the time so a lot of time went by and as a result I have bone loss. My dentist is doing bone grafting to remedy this before he puts in my implants, and is also doing a sinus lift due to inadequate bone in my upper jaw where my molars once were. If I'm to have successful implant supported bridges, this is a crucial step. The entire process is going to take about a year, but I'm counting on it being worth it to have a healthy mouth and smile and to be able to chew well again. He is putting in 6-8 implants per jaw instead of 4 because it will be the best way to restore full function to my mouth. I am 41 years olds Every case and every mouth is different, and those teeth in a day clinics don't seem to want to take on any complex cases, and have more of a one size fits all approach.

I was turned away by two different implant dentists before I found mine. I thought I was a hopeless cause and was wondering if anyone would take my case. That being said I am out of my mind terrified about my procedure tomorrow and it will be all I can do to show up for the appointment. I have major dental anxiety so my doc took mercy on me and prescribed me Valium to take before bed tonight, and also an hour before my appointment tomorrow. I'll have IV sedation so allegedly I won't be aware of anything that happens during and I'll have medication to help me afterwards but I'm still terrified. I would recommend you see an implant specialist or Prosthodontist or oral surgeon instead of a teeth in a day clinic so you can get the best care possible. I wish you luck, I know exactly what it's like to be in your shoes.
