Is cyst removal hard?

It's on the side of my tooth, it doesn't hurt, have been there for like 8 years. Recently I decided to get it removed and a friend of mine said ( a dentist ) since it's around the root of the tooth, when the tooth is extracted, the cyst will come come out with it. Is that correct? will it hurt? cause when I was little I got my tonsils removed and one of the tonsils didn't get numb with a local anesthetic because it had a cyst on it, I'm afraid the same could happen. I can't handle another bad dentist experience =(

I had surgery to have mine removed! Mines come back, which is rare. But I felt no pain at all during the procedure and just took anti inflammatorys after. You’ll be absolutely fine, so don’t worry. Good luck
