Right, i recently had a tooth pulled and before that I haven't had any problems with them.

When I bite down, the fifth tooth to the left (the top) starts to hurt. Also, it's a little bit loose, so I'm thinking that's it. The problem is I don't know if this is a wisdom tooth or not. What should I do?

Alright, it was stopped hurting when I bite down. For a second there I though I would have to go to the dentist again. *shivers*

Yeah, that sounds reasonable. It's also possible to "bruise" the periodontal ligament that holds the tooth in the socket. It's described in the textbooks as something that happens when somebody eats a pheasant and bites onto a lead shot (interestingly, the authors of most dental textbooks appear to like game!)
