i just get scared with anything that is blackness. it kinda looks like a vein that goes behind the tooth into an area along the gum it is tender but i also feel pressure in the tooth next to it.I hate going to the dentist, he did mention the gold but it is more expensive then the porcelin

I haven't seen a metal allergy end up with a dark area on the gum, but maybe I just haven't seen that many cases. Usually I believe the gums respond with some inflammation or redness. Most dark stained gum areas are due to amalgam particles accidentally left in the gum pockets after a crown preparation or a new filling. Something about the mercury amalgam ends up turning the gums a blueish black.

As Annie said, the pressure might be related to something else so have it checked out.
