I've heard that drinking/eating Pineapple and Pineapple juice can help prevent swelling after extractions. Is there any truth to this?

Thanks! ;D

Hi,

I found this online -

"Pineapple: The raw juice of this plant contains the enzyme bromelain. Bromelain has been shown to have gentle anti-inflammatory properties. Swish the raw juice around the site of a tooth extraction to reduce swelling or eat a frozen pineapple juice pop to soothe a sore throat."

Pineapples are quite sugary though, aren't they. But I guess that tooth wouldn't be around to get decayed anymore :jump:

Hope that helps, good luck :)

I dunno, it couldn't hurt any, so if you like pineapple juice, go for it ;D
