Okay I'll try to make a long story as short as possible.

I started having major probs with my teeth 5 years ago. The first was my wisdom teeth getting infected (yes the ones I'm just now getting pulled on the 12th). Anyhow, after that first infection I started having really bad stomach problems. I'm nauseas about 80% of the time, and when my teeth are hurtin/infected it does get worse. I was just wondering if its possible that all the rotted nasty teeth I've had in my mouth this whole time are whats causing me all the nausea. Thats the only symptom I've ever had is the nausea. I've been to gastro docs alot and they never find anything so they just say its reflux/gerd. Yet none of the meds for this offer even the tiniest bit of relief. So, I guess I'm just letting myself get excited thinking that maybe getting my teeth fixed will cure my stomach. Dumb????

Have you ever tried a prescribed medication called stemetil ? It is very good for nausea.

I know bad teeth can cause stomach problems but nausea can also be related to anxiety, stress, IBS etc

I've been on zofran and phenegran b4, but neither got rid of the nausea. I'm not an anxious person unless I'm going to the dentist, so I know thats not it. I've never actually thrown up, just gagged a few times. I just always feel like I'm going to. I still take the phenegran, but I think I take it now just so I won't throw up b/c it definately doesn't cure the nausea.

I'm not a dentist but was wondering whether you have ever been advised to try antihistamines or have you been to a homeopath? Im sure you know all the possible classic causes, like gallbladder, hiatus hernia, fybromyalgia etc etc. But there is a mast cell condition that can trigger chronic nausea if it affects the gastrointestinal tract (mastocytosis). They don't know what causes it. I mention a homeopath because I know someone who was helped very much by one when they had symptoms conventional meds had failed to cure. Even if the condition you have is caused by your teeth, I bet it would be hard to prove the link. Plus it would be unusual for you to have constant symptoms from dental infections because your immune system usually controls the infection so you may have a few days when you feel rough and then a few days feeling good. From what you say you have very little respite.

I'll definately have to look into this. I did see an accupuncturist at one point but it didn't do much good.

I have suffered with nausea for years (more a feeling that I could heave at any time and sometimes do) I do know that mine is related to anxiety, at least I always thought it was. It is horrible so i do know how you feel, sometimes it just takes a smell, a thought or even looking at something and I am heaving.

I have been taking stemetil as an when I need it and it works wonders for me.

I've googled stemetil which would also be called compazine in the US according to one site. I've already taken that (and still have quite a few left over) but they did nothing except make me feel like I couldn't sit still. I really don't think mine is anxiety since I don't really have any unless I know I have a dentist appt. I just know it is an awful thing to have.

I hope you can find the cause of why you feel sick all the time, if you find any cures, let me know :)

I will definately let everyone in the whole world know if I find a cure!!!

Did you ever get to the bottom of your nausea ? I have had the same feeling and has been going on for 1 year now ...! going from a mild sick feeling to severe but always there and it's only nausea... I've had every blood, urine, stool and endoscopy test from gasto specialist and everything has been clear ! But recently I have noticed I have a few very black and rotten teeth.

Hi dear, curious if you found a solution ... share this symton on/off for the last 10 years !
