The past few months have been some of the most troubling and confusing months of my life.

It started about three months ago when I woke up with a weird headache, that moved everywhere from behind my eyes to the side of my head, the top of my head, the back of my head, and fullness in my ears. I had no idea what was wrong with me, and was treated for a sinus infection that I apparently never had. I went to a neurologist, tmj specialist, and allergist, trying to find some answers as to why I was having this strange headache that wouldn't go away. The allergist said my sinuses looked clear, the neurologist found nothing wrong with my head, and I was diagnosed with tmj, although my jaw wasn't stiff or strained at the time so I was confused as to how this would be causing all of my discomfort. Then, after about 2 1/2 months the back of my mouth started hurting and I though "Oh my wisdom teeth are coming in." So I went to my dentist and he said that yes, they were coming in and I would have to have them removed, although he couldn't tell me for sure if they were causing my headaches, spaciness etc.

SO, I had my wisdom teeth taken out 3 weeks ago, and as far as I can tell my head has cleared up. My jaw and mouth are still sore and so sometimes my face and the side of my head feel tight, but I think that's due to the healing process that's still occurring. I just want this nightmare to be over, and I need to start feeling well again. I'm taking forever to recover and I'm just at my whits end. =/ Any suggestions as to how to hurry up the healing process? Any other comments about my experience? Has anyone been through anything similar?

I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 18 because of headaches and jaw aches. They were impacted and didn't erupt at all but still managed to cause havoc. I didn't even realize quite how much pain they were responsible for until they were gone and suddenly I was pain free.

That is exactly how it was for me, had frequent headaches and jaw aches also. After getting them out was great.:)

It's really encouraging to hear from people who have had similar experiences. It's crazy to think that all of this could be caused by teeth.

Hopefully I'm on my way to recovering, and will feel myself again soon ;D Thanks guys.
