I hope it all goes great for you!
Part of the reason I haven't done anything about my teeth is financial.

OK! total price of dentures is 2450 without insurance, minus the 1000 allowed coverage a year brings my total to 1450 payed over the course of treatment with the final payment due when i finally receive the finalized product.

They will be doing the preliminary impressions on the 23rd of this month, the use those impressions to get a better impression tray for more accurate dentures (as they explained it)

Looks like there's a good chance i will have temporary dentures by the end of december if i'm lucky!

Dont worry, you'll be fine, i had 32 teeth removed all at once and was back up and goofing off within 3 days or so!

To make it a more relaxing recovery, do what i did. Hijack a really really comfortable recliner, sit up during the day and just lay back and fall asleep every couple hours !!

(good thing my step dad was away for work, otherwise we'd have been fighting over his chair )

That'd make them the christmas gift of a lifetime, but it's gonna put a hurtin on giving gifts to family this year, but to them, i think me getting my mouth fixed and not having the fear of me getting an infection is enough of a gift for my mother, step dad and grandparents on both sides at least

yeah, just because i'll have them at christmas doesnt mean theyll be fully functional to me yet, but with having so many people see me without teeth already due to work, i think this will make me more comfortable eating if i have to take them out, thank god

it's amazing how something so embarrassing can turn into a godsend later on

SORRY SORRY SORRY i havent been here in quite some time. Assistant manager at work has been on vacation so i've been picking up all the hours i can get, and been too engorged in a video game LOL (yes, i will never grow up in that aspect )

So, impressions appointment monday, i get a call from the dentist yesterday saying that my insurance will not give them a written official quote unless they can supply an xray from teh dentist that pulled my teeth showing that they were all extracted. This has me really pissed off because what dentist just takes an X-Ray to prove that they took out all of your teeth? I mean, i could send my insurance a damned picture to prove that!

So, i may have to postpone this appointment until i somehow manage to get an x-ray from the clinic who will not see me again because i HAVE insurance.

they sent something in the mail too (dentist, not insurance) saying: (exact, word for word what the letter says)

I spoke to your insurance company and without x-rays, showing your teeth were extracted; they cannot process a printed pre-estimate. However they arrure that you qualify for the 50% coverage for dentures which should give you the maximum of your benifits of $1000.00. The ammounts would be as follows:

Full upper dentures $1250.00
Full lower dentures $1250.00
Total $2450 less $1000 insurance coverage.

That leaves you with a balance of 1450 due on completion of service. You may make 5 payments of $290 during the course of the procedure or you may full in full on completion and save 5% making your total $1377.50. Call if you would like to get started.

Thank you,
(Dentist)
So i really need to call and straighten this out only, the office's hours are based on daily appointments (dont quite know how that's supposed to work exactly because if no one has an appointment for the week, how are you supposed to call and make an appointment LOL)

Tried calling them today to see if i was reading this letter right (the grammar in the first paragraph is quite horrid, to be honest) so i'm hoping that i can call monday and maybe they will go ahead with the impressions while i continue trying to get the correct x-rays.

In other news!!!!!

I ate a big mac today!!! and my "6 week recovery" should be over as of tuesday!!
