So i took my upper out at six this morning its now saturday. It felt so nice to sleep a couple hours with them both out. when i got up i still couldnt get my lowers in so i got my fiancee to get the dremel tool out and i shaved those suckers out and along the bottom of them. they now fit without killing me. So ive got both sets in Now and about to eat some soup. i was able to eat eggs last night with my lowers out

LOL at dremel tool!!! I thought about that myself on one spot of mine, But seeing the dentists friday help me out alot, But hell its the same tool they use to adjust them. I wouldnt recomend it , but hell sometmes you gotta do what ya gotta do..

My mom has used a nail file on hers before. I am too scared to screw these up to do anything myself. Although I probably couldn't screw them up any worse than they already are.

Sorry folks no positive update today. Imhaving a terrible depressed day. Know what I want more then anything? my 14 rotting painful teeth back. I havnt got anything positive to say about this experience after 6 days. I am in so much pain its unreal!! there are an army of canker sores that have invaded my mouth and the whole time my bottom denture is in it feels like someone is pinching my gums. the pain never stops I can barely sleep

It feels like i opened my mouth on a curb and someone stomped on my head from behind. somehow this pretty smile just aint cutting it. I pray that this gets better it has to!

"It does get better" And that is coming from someone who has not had a good experience. You will start to feel better, I went through a pretty bad time the first 2 weeks just trying to get use to these huge things in my mouth. My problems with them now are me not being able to eat on the right side, but I no longer have much pain.

To me it is kind of like after giving birth. The depression part, when your hormones are all out of whack.

Can't, did you happen to read my journal? I was in a considerable amount of pain from my lower denture the first couple weeks or so. Did your dentist put in a soft liner at the beginning? Mine did, and the liner was causing a lot of the pain. I trimmed it out where I could and had the dentist re-do it asap.

You're still healing. Things are GOING to be sore and hurt, look what your mouth has been through! It DOES get better. I repeatedly tell others preparing for dentures to expect some rough spots in the road. You're just in a bumpy spot, and you'll get past it. The frustration and emotions are normal, and will pass. Just try to keep yourself healthy so that you can heal as quickly as possible. Stay positive and read through what some of the others here have been through... you're doing good!
