Hello,
I went to the endodontist regarding a crown I had done a week ago. after taking a scan and X-rays he told me the crown was fine but the root canal next to it needed to be re treated because of an abscess that was under the roots. This is a 10 year old root canal and I have no symptoms at all. I would have never known! Im skeptical because of the absents of symptoms. How urgent is re treatment if symptoms are not present? I want to wait until my insurance rolls over in January. The cost is $1,500! The anxiety of having to do this is keeping me up at night. I included an image.
