So I had dry socket and infection, he packed it for me and give me antibiotics..

A week later it's still sore at times but I now feel like a sharp ridge at the back of my gum, where the root was , should I be concerned or is this normal?

It's quite common to get sharp bits as things heal. If it's exposed and you can see the white bone or if the sharpness is significantly uncomfortable- best get it looked at by the dentist. Otherwise, nature will run it's course and the healing will progress.
