3 days post op

Good morning,
I'm 3 days post op from 2 top molar extraction. One on each side. I have been so swollen in the face on my left side. Is this normal? It's actually to the point I cannot sleep at night it's so uncomfortable. I would say it's pain because I've had many many tooth aches before. It's just very uncomfortable. When can I expect this to go down some or even go away?

@Gordon you were right! Thank you. I called the dentist and they started me on an antibiotic. I definitely feel better. When would you suggest I can start eating solid foods they require chewing?

As soon as you feel up to it, there's no hard and fast rule.
