I had 4 teeth extracted last Friday, May 19, 2023 & dissolvable stitches were put in & they're still there. Everything seemed to be healing up just fine until today.

My top & bottom teeth are having a dull pain here & there but there's also steady fluid that kind of tastes salty & some other taste I've never tasted before coming out of it. It's not pus or blood but maybe clear.

I've been neglecting cleaning the back tooth because I'm scared I'll scratch the site.

I'm attaching a few photos here because I'm freaking out. I just got off of my fourth round of antibiotics within a month and a half, so I can't afford to be on any more.

How does this look to you? These were taken earlier today.

I think I'm going to go to Urgent Care tomorrow because I have the symptoms of OI. My throat has been sore now for 3/4 days, sometimes making it hard to breathe or talk & my mouth is still very hard to open. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

@Ahhh2

So sorry this is happening to you, yeah,, I would go to, just to give some peace of mind, espsecially with the pain and sometimes hard to breath. Never hurts to just go get your mind relieved if its nothing serious and if they need to do something then you know. I hope it goes well for you. Let us know

Hello, I'm on week 3 since extraction.

Everything seemed to be healing fine until recently. I did end up going to urgent care and they did x-rays and said things looked okay but gave me meds for antibiotic induced thrush. That's cleared up.

But now... First off, these red spots are still here and I'm not sure why. My jaw has started aching here and there and is still kind of stiff, though I can open it a lot more & mostly returned to eating normal.

There's a sharp part of my jaw that's kind of poking out and there's pain every few days that sort of radiates down my neck but it's not bad enough yet. I'm wonder if this is normal healing during week 3 or if I need to call the dentist?

I really don't wanna have to travel all the way back, I'm terrified. I wish I just had a normal healing. I've been rinsing & trying to brush carefully, etc.

The red areas look slightly inflamed to me but there is a lot of plaque near them which may be contributing. A sharp bit is probably a boney spicule, a piece of bone that can come through and cuts into the gum as it heals over the top, hard to say without seeing you.
I'd probably suggest you stick it out for another week if you can.
