I’ve known this nervous lady as long as I’ve been a dentist. She is now 97. 13 years ago she lost the back tooth that held in her partial. She was now faced with a partial that will move up and down when she chewed. I placed an implant and used a snap top (locator by Zest) to hold her partial in place. It has worked great for her and the implant is still healthy.

Please realize this lady was 84 at the time of surgery. Many people say why? It’s all about quality of life!

Quality of life is important! My grandfather had both knees replaced at 92, because he didn't want to be wheelchair bound. He then went through cancer treatment at 93 and lived to 96. I don't see why tooth implants would be an issue at any age.
