A Bit Of A Wait

Is it normal with an abscess to have to wait a month to pull the tooth ? or should i go to emergency tooth pull ? I went to the dentist and they didn't say much about it. I'm guessing if it gets bad then go to emergency but for now i'm fine ? I'm on antibiotics but the infection can come back and i'll need antibiotics again. I feel like it's more of an emergency than the dentist just wanted an opinion on waiting a month with an abscess, it's all swollen around the tooth and there isn't much pain so how am i too know if i need antibiotics again or not ?

Some dentists don't like doing extractions when there's an acute abscess, prefer to give antibiotics to calm things down first.
There's no harm in waiting a few weeks for the extraction if it's not painful. You'll know if you need more antibiotics if the pain gets worse or the swelling increases.
