A silver filling that is not amalgam?

I had a filling around 2 weeks ago.

I’m a very anxious patient and during the process she said she was going to use a silver filling rather than a white one and that it did not contain amalgam… I just said ok great as I wanted it to be over as soon as possible. Didn’t ask anymore questions.

I’ve tried googling and I can’t find anything in regards to a silver filling that doesn’t contain amalgam?

It’s not as silver/dark as a regular amalgam filling.

Does anyone have any idea on the material she would have used?

Yes. it'll be a silver reinforced glass ionomer. Ketac Silver is one of the more common ones.
