Hi, I have previously posted here about some of the issues that I have because of a fear of the dentist.
I have severe gum recession, mainly on one post crown (which is very loose) and one next to it which also needs to be removed. If I have a partial for these teeth, it also has to sit right next to an existing cantilever bridge which has been there a good 20 years or so.
This treatment I need has been delayed because I have not been able to get along very well with my current dentist, because of my anxiety and stress levels regarding this. I have been fortunate to find another NHS dentist (I am in the UK) and have been given my first appointment next week with their foundation dentist, being a nervous wreck about dealing with my dental issues, I am now starting to worry I may have made a mistake, mainly because I have some complex problems (that is how I see it anyway) and now worrying I may need the help of a more experienced dentist to treat me.
I hope this has all made sense, but just wanted the opinions of the dentist here.
