Hi everyone. I recently got a filling replaced last week (old amalgam filling broke off so got it replaced with a composite filling) I was waiting on the dentist to point out that a corner of a upper molar was broken off during the filling procedure ( it’s on the same side of the filling he was doing, just on the top) but he didn’t say anything about it… I’m now super scared that if I leave it broken I’ll need more treatment like a root canal which I’m TERRIFIED OF. The broken tooth doesn’t really hurt at all I’m just conscious of it and think I’m tricking myself into thinking it’s hurting because I’m anxious. Do you think he should have pointed it out to me if it was an urgent matter that needed to be taken care of? I was too scared to mention it to him but I really thought he was going to point it out. I was thinking about going up there tomorrow and paying to get it checked out. I feel so stupid for not mentioning it but I was already so scared about the bottom tooth. I’m so stupid I know.
