Are tinnitus and neck issues related to dental work?

About me a little bit. About 6 years ago, I had a root canal on one of my bottom two molars. Already had a crown put on the back one with a live tooth on it and now this one with the root canal. The tinnitus started and got worse over months of time since then (it started when I clenched my jaw in bed one night and never went away).

Fast forward about 9 months later and I had to find a new dentist. Decided it was time to discuss possibly getting rid of my gold plated crowns for ones that looked like an actual tooth using some material called CapTek. Naturally I had to have molds and all that taken before getting the crown and had a temp crown put in.

One thing I remember is that before this, with my old crowns, things felt very "off" with my neck and I was getting stiffness and muscular issues with them from the neck and head area. In between the time I had removed the gold crowns and got these new crowns on -- when I had the temp crowns in -- I felt like everything "fell back into place and was normal". I told my dentist this and got the new crowns in, which ended up being a bridge (where the back one is not even seated against the gumline and I can't get in between the bridge to clean because it's so tight). The back tooth is still live too. He naturally just shrugged it off and told me what he did was right for me.

Fast forward 4.5 years later, and I still have the same issues. While not as severe, they are still there. I've been to neuromuscular dentistry where they basically told me I'd need to get a much more customized mouthguard I need to wear 24/7 to prevent me from clenching more. It wasn't a fix, it was a band aid. But from a neuro-muscular perspective, they felt it was off.

I went to another dentist that specializes in bites and he flat out told me my bite was "off" due to the crowns and this could be causing me these issues, but he could not adjust it since doing so may could put me at risk for cracking a crown he did not do. He wanted to get me new crowns and get it done right, but I just didn't have the money at that time.

Since I have not been to the dentist now in almost 4 years due to all of these things constantly happening to me and due to dentists wanting to do work I felt was not necessary (fillings by drilling through the front of a tooth?!?! HOW AND WHY?!?!), I decided I may finally give thing a shot again. But before I do, I want to know if anyone experienced issues like this and what was done to fix it? I'm considering going to one of those "make a crown in an hour or so" places just to get a right crown. Maybe have a look at the live tooth or the tooth that had a root canal on it, especially since I've been seeing some blood and puss come from the front gumline with the tooth where the root canal was done -- some suggested this may be due to issues from that back tooth. I also feel my teeth have shifted over time due to this dental work and are no longer straight and strong like they used to be.

In your opinion, what is my best option here short of "see a dentist". What kind of things should I be looking for the dentist to do? If anyone had experiences similar to mine, would you mind sharing?

See a specific kind of dentist. In your place I'd be looking for a specialist in prosthodontics. Most of the time, patients are remarkably tolerant to minor changes in their occlusion (the "bite") however it sounds like you're a bit more sensitive than usual.
I'd shy away from anyone who offered you a quick result it sounds like a fairly complex series of issues that will take some time to sort out.
