Hi, I have my wisdom teeth removal scheduled for September 2024. It’s really just 2 of my teeth bothering me but they’re taking all of them. I have really bad anxiety, I’m very scared for the anesthesia, I’m 17 years old and obese, I weigh around 260. Yes it’s alot. I had my consultation but they never told me what type of anesthesia I’m taking or what’s best for me. They did get my weight already but I want to lose weight as much as I can. My sister told me that the day of her appointment they didn’t ask her any questions they just got straight to it. I’m afraid that I won’t be able to let them know I lost weight. Or if I didn’t lose any, I’m scared of the factors of anesthesia. I did have an enlarged heart due to Covid but I recorded from it back in 2020. I suffer from palpitations, it did start from my bad anxiety and panic attacks. It’s not really much a huge problem anymore but I get them here and there. Minor chest pains not really concerning though they occur due to trapped gas and other stuff. I’m just afraid the anesthesia is going to cause complications. And again they didn’t ask me if I had any health problems or issues nor do I think there going to on the day of. My dentist barley answers and if they do I’ll be put on hold for about an hour. Any tips or help? I’m young and I do have extreme health anxiety. Of course I want to be healthy and lose weight. But I’m scared I won’t be able to.
