Bad taste in mouth

Hi Everyone, I was hoping I could come here to get some answers regarding an issue I have been having. For about the past week I have been getting a bad taste in my mouth when i turn my head to the left or when i tilt my head up. I do not have the bad taste in my mouth unless I do those actions. I also have a cold, could this possibly be post nasal drip? I brush, floss, and use mouthwash daily and don't experience this taste in my mouth unless i turn my head to the left or upwards and it seems to be coming from deeper within my throat. I have had my tonsils and adenoids removed. This is causing me a little bit of anxiety so I figured I would try to post here.

Also it's important to add that the bad taste is much less noticeable when I am lying down and worse when I am standing up.

I don't think anybody here can give you a diagnosis, that would best be left to your doctor or dentist.

That said, I've experienced similar problems with my sinuses, especially when I have a cold or sinus infection.

A foul taste will sometimes imply an infection of some sort, so you should probably seek proper medical advice to find out for sure what you're dealing with.

Thanks Cielo I understand I just figured I would post here to get my anxious self some reassurance. Anyways, the foul taste has been subsiding all day so hopefully it will be gone soon and is just an effect of this cold i am having. Thanks again!

I hate to bump an old thread, but I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or if the OP (if they are here anymore) can give a follow up. I am going through the EXACT same thing right now. Same side, same symptoms, everything. I brush twice a day and floss once a day and I visit the dentist twice a year. The taste is sending me into anxiety hell. Especially because it's only when I turn my head, which makes me think it must be something serious.

This is driving me insane. With all the things I went through over the last 2 years going to the dentist, I really don't want to go back! I was just there 2 months ago. It took a LOT of courage for me to get everything I needed done and now ... this. It doesn't seem to be coming from my teeth though?? I'm so confused. It's weird that this other poster had the same exact issue and yet I can find nothing else anywhere online.

Go and see your medical doctor or an ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist. it may be coming from your sinuses or around your tonsils.

I just saw my regular doctor for it and he doesn't have a clue. I have no tonsils either. ...... it's driving me crazy.
