I had a molar extracted in June, my gum still has some zapping pain and soreness when i touch it but i looked and now the tooth beside it (molar) has a dark spot on it, could this be anything than a cavity? i tried to brush it off and use my water pik, still there. it doesn't hurt when i touch it but guess i will have to return to the dentist? it wasn't here in april when i had xrays, how long can i wait to get it checked? I have a very ill pet right now or else i would've called today but can't leave my pet right now, she needs me. Will the extra flu0ride toothpaste help until i can get to see a dentist in a week or so? the last thing i need is to have to get a root canal because i waited too long but the next two weeks will be okay, right?

It may well just be some staining. It's very very unlikely to need a root canal in 2 weeks from scratch unless you live on a diet of Mars bars and cola and nothing else!

Anyway, what's the news on your pet? My 2 dogs send their love. Well they would if they could read :-)

okay, thanks, will get it checked anyway as i will just worry more than i need to, even if it's going to cost me some money.:( my pet is not going to get better so it's day by day, that is why i'm waiting, thanks for the love from the dogs.

Letting them go is the worst thing about being a pet owner, losing my old dog the week before Xmas was one of the worst days of my life. I sympathise.
