Is it possible to have bruised teeth from the rubber bite block if you were biting on it for a long period during a lengthy dental procedure? I had a crown prep and temp placed, root canal and another temp crown placed, and a filling done Tuesday. In total this took almost 4 hours. I still can barely eat. Oddly, the majority of the pain isn't in the teeth they worked on. All of my work was on upper teeth and my pain is concentrated mostly in 3 lower teeth. They all hurt when tapped and hurt when chewing or biting.

Yes, it's possible, it's also likely that your muscles/TMJ are achy and cramping and you're getting a bit of referred pain from them.

A dentist struggled with securing a clamp for the rubber dam on my upper molar for so long once that it ended up causing chronic pain in that tooth ligament for around 18 months. I even had the filling redone, xrays etc and was assured the root was all fine. It took a long time (for what I eventually assume was a "bruised tooth) to finally settle down.
