Hey everyone,

I had my top right 3rd molar removed today and just had a couple of questions;

When can I start brushing & flossing again? Is it after 24 hours, like rinsing?

I clench my teeth at night and have a mouthguard for it-when can I start wearing it again?

Thank you! :)

You can brush and floss all the other teeth as usual straight away - just be gentle in the area of the extraction for a few days.
Your mouthguard is probably unaffected by the treatment so you can wear it tonight.

I forgot to mention that the mouthguard is a splint that has bite plates that sit between the back teeth-it doesn't go over the teeth at all. Is this still ok? (Apologies for all the questions!)

Should be fine
