Buildup of Tartar on Front Teeth

I have serious buildup of tartar on front bottom teeth, and I very worried about the debridement that I am receiving on Monday. I even had a dream last night that the dentist had to pull the teeth because of the tartar buildup! Please help!

What is it that you're worried about?
The tartar isn't holding your teeth in, (although some folks do think it does, it's far too soft and crumbly to hold anything!) removing it will make your mouth a lot healthier.

I think I was just imagining them removing the tartar buildup and realizing the enamel was not strong. I am just a nervous nelly!

Enamel is the hardest substance in the human body... we need to use diamonds or tungsten carbide to cut through it and even then it blunts them quickly
