Can bone fragments be seen on xray?

So much pain! I had many extractions and implants. The bone fragments are mostly excruciating! It seems that this could go on for months. Can they be seen on dental x-rays? Is the dentist dependent on me to tell him where they are?

Thank you Decan, It seems that my tongue can push out most of them. Still, I'm glad I did it, should have, long ago, when the orthodontist pulled out two teeth.
