Hello everyone,
I just woke up on day 5 post wisdom teeth removal. Day 4 was absolute hell, so I’m nervous for today but so far (for the one hour I have been awake) today is slightly better.
Anyway, I woke up yesterday and my jaw felt like it was all twisted around and just not in the right place at all. But when I look in the mirror, my teeth look the same as they always have so I don’t think anything is actually different. It still feels like that today, and even my throat feels a little weird. And I’m getting what I assume is referred pain up into my cheekbones.
But it just feels so wrong! I don’t like the feeling, it’s really weird and uncomfortable. Feels like the lower jaw is a little too far over. And I’m worried it’s the TMJs maybe? And now I will have a whole other problem to deal with. But I don’t have pain near the joints. And again, it looks fine. It just feels wrong.
My gums are still pretty swollen, can the swelling make it feel that way? I’ve never had a tooth removed before so I have no idea what’s normal!
I did call the oral surgeon office yesterday when I was in so much pain but they said it was normal to have pain for 2 weeks after, and to just keep using heat and ice on it. They kind of laughed at my panicking actually, I guess they thought I was being paranoid. Which, maybe I am. I’m just so stressed out. And so tired of pain.
I guess I just have to wait and see
