Class 2 division malocclusion with deep over bite

Today I received medical records for another purpose and on them I’ve found a letter from oral medicine stating I have class 2 division 2 malocclusion with deep overbite” Why would they not inform me of this? I’ve had bite worries in the past and now absolutely freaking out

Because it's just an anatomical classification based on the skeletal relationship between your 2 jaws. It doesn't really matter.

Hello A196x, You are not alone, I too have malocclusion with an overbite. Sadly mine is partly inherited from my father's family line and partly from thumb sucking up to the age of 11. My lower teeth are crooked due to a small jaw but I can eat OK and seldom bite my inner mouth or tongue.
