After breaking a quarter of my bottom back molar around an old amalgam filling two months ago, today I had a composite replacement and restoration done. My mouth and particularly my lips were so numb and my jaw that achey after the procedure that I couldn't bring myself to do anything other than thank the dentist and his assistant before heading out.
Is there anything I should be doing in the next 24-48 hours to prevent damage to this new filling, aside from not chewing on that side which I wasn't planning on doing anyway?
