Concerned re-root will fail thread contains xray

Hello,

I couldn't afford a dental implant and extraction on my root canal and it is infected.

The other option was to find a specialist and I have found someone however they have said there's a chance the structure of my current crown will weaken, the crown has broken before and it's been recemented.

Xray attached- is it quite rare for this to happen as i can't afford a new crown on top of the procedure as its costing me thousand pounds

There's not a lot of natural tooth structure left, so it is a risk that the crown will fail, it's only reasonable for the endodontist to warn you about this in advance.

Hi Gordon really respect your professional opinion if you were me and this was your tooth would you go for extraction and implant?

If you look at it as unemotionally as possible and go by the statistics, then an implant is far more likely to succeed (>90%) than a re-root treatment of a molar (<50%).

Let's assume a new crown will be required anyway so that cost is pretty much equivalent. You're paying more for the implant to buy a higher chance of a successful outcome, basically.

I honestly don't know which way I would go, probably the implant route.
