I went in for a broken tooth extraction. I thought I had an abscess as well. However, the dentist told me is wasn’t. She said it was hard and that it was bone. Even though there was some redness around it. I said ok. Fast forward two weeks, the extraction is healing great. I go back in for 4 fillings yesterday. One was right behind the tooth I had extracted, where the white bump was. I get numbing shots, one right in, or at least very close to the bump. Now today it’s went down significantly as well as lost some of the redness. Sooo I’m wondering was it bone?! Or was she wrong. It doesn’t hurt but my face is slightly swollen. Not sure if that’s normal with the four fillings all being on the same side. I’m going to ask in a few weeks at my next appointment but wanted to know if there’s anything I should ask that it could be? Did she misdiagnose? Please help!

Sorry, I really don't have a clue. Best to ask when you see the dentist again.
