two days ago i got a metal crown on my left upper molar tooth, but crowns feels bit high. if i try to do my nature bite, no other tooth can touch. doctor said it will be fine in a week, if not make an appointment. if doctor want to adjust the tooth height will he able to reduce the crown height or it will be my lower side natural tooth? is metal crown shapeable? i am just worried in case tooth adjust not possible at all and require to make new crown may be he will try to save new crown cost and make damage to my lower tooth.

If it feels high then it is high. Get it right

Hi the crown can be ground down without pain until your bite feels right. Your dentist shouldn't have to touch the tooth below it. You don't compromise a good tooth with nothing wrong to make a damaged tooth fit.

As comfortdentist said if the bite feels wrong it is wrong. You won't get used to it and shouldn't have to, left it can give you pain and problems with your jaw later.

Go back and get it adjusted, it is an easy job for the dentist they will just ask you to bite onto a bit of paper and file the crown until it is right. :)

thank you for the reply, got my tooth fixed. dentist ground the crown a little bit now everything seems perfect

Let me say that every single dentist has let a patient go with a filling or a crown high. All deceit dentists want to adjust these and not ignore this problem because it is much more comfortable for you, better for the tooth, and much less likely for the restoration to fail.
