Crown lengthening

I have severe dental anxiety and I am worried about a scheduled crown lengthening procedure I have scheduled before a crown can be placed. The crown lengthening is on one tooth only, but I am worried about the pain involved. Can anyone tell me how long this procedure should take and will I be able to go to work the next day and speak clearly. I was told I could drive myself and drive myself home, so I am hoping it isn't that bad of a procedure. I would appreciate any information on what is involved and if I will be swollen and in pain afterwards.

Sorry been away.
It's a pretty trivial procedure, should absolutely, definitely not be painful and you can certainly work and speak the next day.
