Hi all,
I am having some problems with an old crown on one of my front teeth. There is some gum recession?? (not sure exactly) where the gum line meets the crown.

I don't know if it's recession or the crown moving away from the gum, but it never did match my teeth correctly in the first place.

The tooth underneath had a root canal many years ago.

I'm concerned about the procedure in general. What is involved in removing the old one?

Thanks for all replies!

If its a well fitting crown it will most likely need to be sectioned off. If nothing needs to be changed about the tooth preparation they will take a new impression to fabricate a new crown and send you home with a temporary that day until a new crown is ready to be cemented in.
