Day 3 Post Extraction - Is this normal?

Hi,

I can't seem to find an answer to this. I had a lower molar out Monday night. Today there isn't much pain, but there also isn't any white. It's still just a hole?

Is that normal?

I've had dry sockets form later on and I'm nervous about it happening again. I've only been drinking milk, no rinsing a lot, straw, etc. so I know it's nothing I'm doing wrong.

Dear Audrey,

It sounds you are doing just fine. The main symptom of a dry socket is pain. If the pain is gone, that means that the healing process is going well and by tomorrow you will be out of the "danger zone".
