A 30 year old dental bridge needs to be replaced. What are the chances of having it out without losing my teeth uder it. Also the dentist is doing a root canal through it now (last tooth) so I guess that will make that tooth weeker Anyone have it doen before if so can you tell me what is involved?

Hi,
Certainly root filling one of the teeth holding the bridge in will weaken that tooth. In your sort of case the dentist will probably remove the old bridge by carefully drilling it off rather that pulling or tapping it off. This should enable it to be removed without damage to the underlying teeth. It's a takes a bit of time to do as some bridges are made of very tough materials. However, it will not be uncomfortable.
Best of luck
Lincoln
