Dental Fear + Emetophobia (Vomiting Phobia)

Is anyone else's dental fear mostly a result of a vomiting phobia?
If so, has anything been helpful? The obvious answer is sedation but for an emetophobic person even that is terrifying because of the possibility of nausea/vomiting from the sedation.

Not everyone vomits from sedation. I've had general sedation twice and I've never thrown up before or after waking up. So you have some hope there.
