A few years ago I found a wonderful dentist who is willing to work with my fears. He’s very patient and kind. I’ve had fillings and root canals thanks to oral sedation meds and IV but cannot bring myself to schedule a cleaning. It is something I am working on! My issue this evening is I have a random pulse in a tooth that hits every couple hours. I can eat, drink, brush, floss and Waterpik with no issues but I know this weird feeling means trouble. I called the dentist office and the receptionist refused to book me in with the dentist as I’m over due for a cleaning. I politely explained I am in pain and need help now….the cleaning can wait. She said until the cleaning is done, I can’t see the dentist. I have no way to take care of this pain! Right now I am getting through it but I’ve had enough cavities, infections and abscesses to know this is not going to end well. I’m in bed shaking from fear and pain. My chest is tight from anxiety. Any advice would be appreciated.
