Dentist gives misleading information orally, in writing v. information in official clinic notes
Is it unprofessional for a dentist to give misleading information orally and in hand written note about the amount and kind of anesthesia used during a supposedly deep cleaning procedure compared to the types and amount of anesthesia actually used and noted in the patient’s official chart? Is it deep cleaning when there is no work below gum line and no bleeding. Additionally, the patient developed jaw and temple pain as well as lesions in soft tissue of mouth and numbness that lasted for several hours.
