Dentist said tooth feels sticky

I just came back from the dentist. My dentist said one of my bottom teeth feels a little sticky, but it's not a cause to worry. She also took x-rays and nothing showed up on the x-ray However, she did put a note to look at the tooth during my next cleaning. I have a follow up cleaning in 3 months.

Is there anything I should be concerned about before my next cleaning? Thanks!

I think you just need to keep up with a good oral hygiene routine and also a healthy diet

“Sticky” teeth can indicate new decay but as long as the X-ray looks good it is maybe just at a very superficial level where it does not require treatment yet? My dentist has placed teeth on “watch” before which just means that they are a little suspicious and may need a filling in the future.
