Detour from my own plan and thoughts.. two retreatments for root canals. A new challenge
So , I was wanting to finish up some dental work with my flex plan and had enough for about 2 crowns which were chipped and bugging me.. I had my own little plan in my head.. welll.. I went to my dentist this last week and he was very kind and thorough in explaining everything and that we could do the one crown but really the next two things I should do were these two retreatments. Well.. and he couldn't do them, he doesn't do retreats.. which. I totally respect his thoughts but.. hard news to think of going to a specialist.. the last time I tried that a few years ago I just never went back.. I made several appts , kept cancelleling and then never did get it done finally having to pull it.. so... thinking of this for a moment not sure what to think.. but I knew my dentist always has my best interest at heart. so..
Processing it I 've been thinking.. that was then,,several years ago, I was scared and I didn't face my fears but now I'm at a point where I know I want to do the right thing and not lose my teeth. No procrastination. so I'm going to face it courageously and believe that the specialist will take good care of me.( remind me the day of lol) . and just start a new story on specialists and retreatments. I'm going in for a consult next Friday. I really need good bed side manner.. that helps me a lot through this process. so hoping that works to be true. taking a huge step of faith on this.
Any words of encouragement on retreats? I've had plenty of root canals all from dentists I knew no retreatments yet.
