Do I have gum disease?? I’ve been pushing off my decayed tooth removal

Sorry if this isn’t in the right place but I’ve had this tooth falling apart for months and months. I’m terrfied of dentists. And this podcast I’m listening to was talking about gum disease and now I’m freaking out. I’ve been googling symptoms and now idk if I’m just freaking out or if I have it. I’m buying new tooth paste for plaque after work tonight and I just bought new bristles for my electric tooth brush.

How screwed am I?

You're not showing any signs of serious gum disease in these photos, but you really need to get that molar out.
